These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Opportuna's website, platform, products, services, tools, content, and related features.

Opportuna is an AI-powered opportunity readiness platform designed to help job seekers and scholarship seekers discover opportunities, prepare stronger applications, practice interviews, complete assessments, and receive AI-powered and expert guidance.

By creating an account, accessing, or using Opportuna, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the platform.

To use Opportuna, you must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law.

If you are using Opportuna on behalf of an organization, institution, or company, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Opportuna complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

Opportuna may provide features including, but not limited to opportunity discovery for jobs, internships, scholarships, fellowships, and related opportunities; CV, resume, SOP, essay, and cover letter creation, review, and tailoring; interview preparation and mock interview tools; assessments and readiness evaluations; AI-powered recommendations and guidance; expert coaching, review, or interview support; application readiness tools; and subscription-based access to platform features.

We may modify, improve, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time.

To access certain features, you may need to create an account.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You must notify Opportuna immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Opportuna is not responsible for losses caused by your failure to protect your account credentials.

Opportuna may offer paid subscription plans and free trials.

Subscription pricing, billing cycles, included features, and trial terms will be displayed on the platform or website.

By subscribing, you authorize Opportuna or its payment processor to charge the applicable fees.

Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions may automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle until cancelled.

You are responsible for cancelling your subscription before the renewal date if you do not wish to be charged.

Opportuna may change pricing or subscription features from time to time. Where required, we will provide notice of material changes.

Opportuna may offer a free trial for eligible users.

The duration and conditions of the free trial will be shown at the time of registration or subscription.

At the end of the free trial, you may be required to subscribe to continue using paid features.

Opportuna reserves the right to modify, withdraw, or limit free trial offers at any time.

You may cancel your subscription according to the cancellation process provided on the platform.

Unless otherwise required by law or expressly stated in a refund policy, subscription fees are generally non-refundable once charged.

If you believe you were charged in error, you should contact us promptly at the support email provided below.

You may upload, create, submit, or share content through Opportuna, including CVs, resumes, cover letters, SOPs, essays, profile information, interview responses, assessment answers, and other materials.

You retain ownership of your content.

By using the platform, you grant Opportuna a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, host, store, display, analyze, and use your content solely for the purpose of providing, improving, securing, and supporting the platform and its services.

You confirm that you have the necessary rights to upload and use any content you submit to Opportuna.

You must not upload content that is unlawful, misleading, harmful, defamatory, infringing, fraudulent, offensive, or violates the rights of others.

Opportuna uses artificial intelligence to support features such as opportunity matching, document review, content generation, interview practice, assessments, recommendations, and personalized guidance.

AI-generated content may not always be accurate, complete, current, or appropriate for every situation.

You are responsible for reviewing, editing, verifying, and deciding whether to use any AI-generated output before submitting it to any employer, institution, scholarship provider, or third party.

You should not rely solely on AI-generated content for important decisions.

Opportuna may provide access to experts, coaches, reviewers, interviewers, mentors, or other human support providers.

Experts may provide feedback, coaching, reviews, interview practice, or other guidance.

Any advice, opinion, or feedback provided by experts is for preparation and informational purposes only.

Opportuna does not guarantee that expert guidance will result in any specific outcome.

Users and experts are expected to act professionally, respectfully, and honestly at all times.

You agree not to misuse Opportuna. You must not:

• Use the platform for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purposes
• Upload false, misleading, or unauthorized information
• Violate the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform, user accounts, systems, or data
• Interfere with the security, availability, or performance of the platform
• Reverse engineer, scrape, copy, or exploit the platform without permission
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the platform without authorization
• Submit malicious code, viruses, or harmful files
• Impersonate another person or organization
• Misrepresent your qualifications, identity, experience, or application materials
• Use Opportuna to create spam, deceptive applications, or mass submissions that violate third-party rules

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

All rights, title, and interest in Opportuna's platform, brand, logo, designs, software, systems, features, content, trademarks, and related intellectual property belong to Opportuna or its licensors.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, license, or exploit any part of Opportuna without prior written permission.

Using Opportuna does not give you ownership of any intellectual property belonging to Opportuna.

Opportuna is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the platform will meet all your expectations, AI-generated outputs will be accurate or error-free, opportunity recommendations will always be complete or current, you will secure any job, scholarship, internship, interview, admission, or offer, third-party opportunities will be genuine, available, or suitable, or expert feedback will produce a specific result.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Opportuna and its owners, employees, contractors, partners, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including damages related to lost opportunities, lost profits, lost data, failed applications, rejected applications, missed deadlines, platform downtime, third-party decisions, or reliance on AI-generated content.

Where liability cannot be excluded, Opportuna's total liability will be limited to the amount you paid to Opportuna for the relevant service during the three months before the claim arose, or the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate your account or access to Opportuna if:

• You violate these Terms
• You misuse the platform
• You fail to pay applicable fees
• Your conduct creates risk for Opportuna, other users, or third parties
• We are required to do so by law
• We discontinue the platform or relevant service

You may stop using Opportuna at any time. Termination does not affect rights or obligations that arose before termination.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria without regard to its conflict of laws provision. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in connection with any action or dispute arising between the parties under or in connection with this Privacy Policy.

The laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, excluding its conflicts of law rules, shall govern this Agreement and your use of the website. Your use of the website may also be subject to other local, state, national, or international laws.

By using Opportuna or contacting us directly, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, you should not engage with our website, or use our services. Continuous use of the website, direct engagement with us, or following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy that do not significantly affect the use or disclosure of your personal information will mean that you accept those changes

We may update these Terms from time to time.

When we make material changes, we may notify you through the platform, by email, or by updating the effective date above.

Your continued use of Opportuna after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
